Skyline Hunting

Here's the background on this. I'm going home from the meet about two weeks ago, and i pull into the gas station and this dude walks up to me and starts talking to me about my car, everything i have done yada yada yada... Well he then tells me "Yeah i got my buddy Jake is moving back here in a few weeks, and he just bought himself a RHD Skyline, here's his number if you wanna give him a call, he'll be here in a couple weeks." So i say yeah that's cool, i'll keep a look out, and as he leaves i'm thinking "what a crackpot".

Ok..


Fast forward to two days ago. I'm driving south on Neil St. getting ready to turn right on Green St. and i get stopped at the light. And that's when i hear this "psssssssssssshhhh" and i look over across the street and i see this silver car turning the other direction and the driver is sitting on the right side of the car.... at this point i'm thinking "you have got to be fuckin kidding me, no way in hell" and sure enough when he got a bit closer, it was definately a Skyline, and he turned the opposite way and got on it as he was leaving(the gold rims were shining). After this i tried circling the block and trying to find his ass, but couldn't. So i stop at subway and sure enough as i'm in their eating i see him drive by going North on Neil St. again... So i left and went lookin for him again. Couldn't find him again!!! I tried calling him twice and it went through to his voicemail, so i'll stick with just trying to catch him and talk to him. I'm sure i'll see him around town tonight so i'm gonna try and find him again...Champaign/Urbana isn't huge so it shouldn't be hard.

Now to some of you, this might not be a big thing, but i've never gotten to see one of these, let alone ride in one, or even cruise with one, which i'm hoping to do...hehe... Anyway i'm gonna try and get to know this new guy in town and hopefully hang out and get some pictures to post on here.

I've only seen a Skyline once and that was in Lonon, England...the guy blew by us and flew through a residential area...I was in awe and the ppl I was with couldnt understand why I was so impressed by a car...

Nice find, hopefully you'll be able to catch him next time, good luck with that.

I did the same thing with that yellow Porsche Carrera GT that I've seen around here. Every now and then I see, so I try to find it so I can get a closer look, but usually my efforts fail. But man, when I get my Teg, you best damn believe I'm going to try and run him. Ironically, he was our previous mayor here in the fair city of Springville. I think he embezzled some of the city funds and bought it. But that's just me...

ahhh he has a R33. anyways you know there are always jokes about when people bring skylines to the states, you'll get a bunch of ricers chasing the cars around. your not a ricer now are you z28josh? hahah j/p if i saw one on the street i'd chase it too.

Hmmmmmmmmm Skyline.....yummy. Saw an R33 once...first I thought it was a 240 with some whack body kit, but when it rolled by, saw the Skyline badge, took a good look and was like....Sweet mother of Jesus thats hot.

there's a blue R33 GTR wth white rims and an exhaust the size of a bowling ball around here that i see once in a while. they are sexy looking cars for sure. good luck finding him, hopefully he'll take you for a ride.

Well it's a friday so he's gotta be out tonight, hell if i had the car i'd be out every night...
