Man i tell ya, i feel so stuck in life... MAINLY career wise, i have no idea what i want to do....
I'm presently looking for a job, basically anything $10hr just to pay the bills and help out my mother. Best Buy hired someone else damnit..i went on 3 seperate interviews with them damnit.. It's not only that though, ever since me and my bro where younger, a HEAVY load was always on us.. Growing up without a father, and just living in a 1 bedroom apt sucks.... Since i'm 16 i've been working and giving my mother money, she's on disability due to bad health...so it's basically me and my bro paying about 70% of things. I am grateful, but sometimes i look at others an wanna f*cking cry.. Jeez, i see like 17 yr olds with new cars, pre-20's people that got there sh*t together....most of the time it's cause they NEVER had to work and had a good teenage life...which i NEVER HAD. I dropped out of HS in 10th grade so i could work full time....damn, now i'm 24..yes...24 years old damnit.. AND i feel like a 50 year old in a young guys body..it sucks. The only good thing about this, is being mature and being able to deal with alot.
My Father....now he's back in the picture...well, since the early 90's..but he never helped us out, he is married to this C*NT since the early 90's.. He calls me and asks WHY i never see him...COME ON.... A father is supposed to be there to teach his f*cking kids sh*t..and to support them... -Usually that helps out with the whole girl factor...i had to learn about girls through friends and playboy..lol.. Not only that, nothing sucks more then having a father that has some $$$ and not being able to ask him for a dollar...
Friends, not to many...i have one good friend that is well-off (father owns building in the city..rich etc) that ALWAYS tries to give me advice.. One time he said that me and my bro should save up for a house...LOL.. I could hardly pay my car insurance... He's got a job that he doesn't even NEED.....makes like $17hr...
What i feel like, there's a line in the song called Ruby Tuesday, by the Rolling Stones..it goes...."..Catch Your Dreams Before They Slip Away"... I feel as if i have to settle on a career..then go with it.. But that sucks, cause i can't just pick something and go with it....
Funds, Ever since my uncle died last summer, my mother was one of the beneficiaries (spelling.?) getting just over $60K......BUT, she cannot touch it cause she is on disability...and something like she can only use it for medical supplies, and it's for her old age basically.......F*CK..she's 49, she needs the money NOW.. This i honestly feel in the dark with, cause my grandma is IN CHARGE basically of everything...she is a gambler also, may i add..yeah..one of those retired old people that lives at OTB.. I still don't understand HOW my mother cannot take money out of her fund...one time my grandma said to her that the boys (me and my bro) have to give money to help out, and basically it's all on US... BTW, couldn't my mother sign over her $60K check to me, then i take it and put it in my account, then we give that money to my mom....? I believe you can sign over a check..? can you..?
In closing, it's all about MONEY...the green, the paper, to mooshu..lol.. I have to make alot of it the fast way, somehow...nothing illegal...i just have to come up with something, cause i cannot see doing this sh*t for much longer.....
Ahhh...sorry, i had to vent....on top of all of that, i find out the girl i had the biggest crush on a year ago, NOW has a kid...F*CK.........................thats done with..

I'd try to get that rich friend of yours to help you get a job. If he has a job he doesn't need maybe he could get you one you do need.
If you want to make some money though, invest it. Sure, it is a gamble but if you do your research and stuff you could make some.

Hm.. join the Army. Not into killing and more into using your brain? Join the Airforce or Navy. There's lots of jobs in the military, and it's alright money, but you'd atleast get paid. And like you said that's what it's all about.

If I understand you correctly you said you dropped out of HS. If I were you I would get my GED because that will open more doors job wise. I'm not sure but don't you need that to even get in the armed services?
As for the inheritance $$ talk to a lawyer that deals with this stuff to see what options you legally have.

I agree.
What you need is education and specific work expereince. Join the forces and sign up for as much useful education as you can possibly arrange. The idea is to get training that is useful in the civillian world. Learn as much as you can, especially if its a specialised technical training. Recruitment is a little down these days so there wil;l be some choice about vocations.
Sure, you might get shot at (army) but maybe not (navy). You get paid and a place to live so much of your $$$ can go home.

^^^Yup, you've got a thousand times better chance getting a job with a GED. That's a requirement for almost any prosperous job. Don't count on the inheritance money to solve anything - you won't get the full amount (minus lawyers fees and a ton of other BS)...and what you do get will be spent before you know it.
Unless you get extremely lucky (which almost NEVER happens) there is no instant cure for your situation...you've got to set long term goals. Get that GED, adult night schools aren't too expensive, and there's government loans and grants that you may be eligible for. Don't count on a miracle or a lucky break, you've got to MAKE IT HAPPEN for yourself. It's a tough road but stick it out and it'll pay off in the long run.
Sorry to hear about your misfortune, but it's up to you to kick some ass and get going.

Talk to any older person and they'll tell you they still don't know what they want to do. Very few ever really know. I just graduated (well I walk August 6) and have no clue. I just know i want to be in the business world.I went to a resume service this morning to help improve my resume and cover letter to help it stand out better.
I would say minimize your list by thinking of what you don't want to do. That's what im doing.
I'm just trying to get at least 3 years of experience and maybe then ill figure out a more precise decision of what i want and go from there.

Thanks alot guys... I am working on getting my ged also, that's a must.
One thing i can decide on, is getting certified in something automotive.. Whether it be certified in doing brake jobs, alignment..etc.. Cause that opens doors, rather then just having retail/sales experiance. As far as the armed forces, that's something i wouldn't do unless there's another draft.
I gotta do something automotive...cause i really love cars, anything from a 4 cyl grocery getter to a V10 srt viper. Without cars, life would be so boring...for me atleast.

Many community colleges have auto courses to help you get certified. Get that GED and check it out.
