Hey, what's going on?? Check this out...

I have a 1988 Honda Civic 4WD Wagon and it's overheating on me. I was running it pretty hard one day and antifreeze starting shooting out from the radiator. It was cracked, lame!! So I put a new one in, and ever since then, it overheats on me!! I installed it correctly, hooked up the fan/hoses/etc. When it's running, the top hose is warm and the bottom/return hose it cold. I also replaced the thermostat just in case, but that didn't help any. When I start it, the temp gauge takes a while to come up, but once it has been running for 10-15 min, it pegs on the red!!! I have done everything I can think of and also talked to a couple mechanics and they were all stumped (and/or wanted to take a "closer look" for some $). I am trying to fix it myself and any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks a lot,

Try Getting all the air out of you cooling system. sounds like you might have some air in lines. also could be water Pump.

Yeah bleed it of air if you havnt done that and check the water pump like jos suggested. But it sounds more to be like a warped head.
