Twilight Sensor

Does anyone know off hand the easiest way to tie in a led light to the twilight (Daylight) sensor that the DRLs use, so that the LED light I hook up to it comes on only when the automatic headlights do? Thanks.

Also I currently have my DRL module unplugged so my lights only come on when it's dark.

theres a fuse for the automatic lights, i'm not sure what one exactly but you would get the power from there...why do you need an LED to come on when the lights turn on anyway?

the fuse on my gp for the auto lights was marked "DRL" i think it was a red 15 amp.

I'll have to check for that, thanks. The reasoning behind it is that I have 2 LED sticks under the seats, and more LED lights in the vents, but during the day when it's bright out it's pointless to have them on because you can barely see them. So I thought I could use that sensor to my advantage and rig it to the automatic headlights.

sounds like a good idea actually...but if you want to turn these lights off for some reason at night, you'll have a hard time. you could wire to the fuse and tie your lights into a switch on the dash. you could always keep the switch on, and when your lights go on so will the LED's, and you can turn them off with your lights still being on. makes it a little easier, depending on how bright they are. and you don't want to wire them to the DRL fuse. there is a DRL fuse and an auto light fuse, make sure you find the right one first, look in your manual. i want to say last row second from the right but i cant remember so check the manual. hope this helps

Thanks for the help. I'll probably run a switch between them like you said, case I need to turn them off. I'll let you know how it turns out.

UPDATE:
I got it to work :). Here's what I did in case anyone else wants to try something like it..
After trying to tie it in to different fuses with no luck, I thought I'd give the DRL module wiring a look at. I already have the DRL module unplugged so there's the 2 prong male plug with a blue and brown wire going nowhere. I hooked the power wire from my switch controlling the LEDs to the BROWN wire connector and that's it. Now they go on and off with the headlights :). Enjoy!
