I think I have a hole in my catalytic converter. I'm hearing a sound that sounds like a leak. I'm thinking it could also be a leak in a vacuum hose somewhere, but I dont know where all the vacuum hoses are. Does anyone where where I could find a diagram showing all the vacuum lines and also does anyone know any good websites I could buy a catalytic converter from? Thx much

you can get a normal cat from a muffler shop, but if you want a performance cat check out www.performancecenter.com

My exhaust is really loud when I hit around 5k rpms. It wasn't before, but now it screems. I'd said on the scale its a 7 or 8.

I don't know if the warrenty is still good. I have 84000 miles on it.

as far as I know, hyundai only has a 60,000 mile warranty, so, sounds like its done for.

GK V6's have the the cats in the ehxaust manifolds under the heat sheilds. the manifolds are cast iron, doubtful they would leak.

You never know. There are very strange problems that happen to cars. I hear a lot of stories because I work at a autoparts store. My car is a 2000 tib..had an I4 not a v6...well not yet..

Well, you could have a leak at the flanges.

But even so, my cat is not in the manifold. Not to mention Hyundai has a recall on exhaust manifolds because some of them are cracking in the bottom right of it. I'm not trying to start a argument or anything I'm just stating what i've seen and read.

Seems to me the only thing left to do is to get it up on a lift.
