i need to know the easyest way to move an 84 cevy cab to a 85 gmc frame without damageing anything i have a hoist available but i just didnt want to hurt the cab? how heavy is a cab can i move it with like 4 or 5 guys if i can move it with a hoist and straps where should i run the straps and i dont think much at all is diferent on the cabs but if any1 knows of anything plaese let me know they were basically the same truck both 4X4 single cab 1500 with ac the sierra was a classic i noticed on the 84 chevy body it has a different wiper motor that had vaccum likes or something coming out of it that the 85 gmc didnt have if anything else is different then let me know

Hey there. I did a cab swap on a 76. I took the old cab off piece by peice,, got smart.. took the new cabed truck out to the hoist lifted on all 4 corners as far out as i could get. removed all 6 bolts and lifted straight up. rolled old truck out and new one under set down and bolted back up.. really easy.
