Remove shifter knob in 05 wrangler

Silly question - How do I remove the shifter knob in an 05 wrangler? Just got it and don't want to screw (no pun intended) anything up!

Just use some Vice Grips and twist it off

Check along the perimeter of it before applying vice grips, there may be a set screw or Allen head screw holding it steady. Otherwise, it will screw right off.
