just out of curiousity, does the same timing belt tensioner fits all years and models of the DOHC engine..i work at an autoparts place but we only stock timing belt tensioner up to 1996....mine is '98 but when i look it up in the computer it doesn't show one...what's up with that :confused:

well there is no 100k tuneup, it's 60k and 120k, however, 3sx sells the same tuneup bundle (including the tensioner) for all DOHC (TT + NA) 91-99. The SOHCs have a different bundle, but I don't know if that means they have a different tensioner, or if something else is different.
But the answer to your question is yes, all SL or any DOHC tensioner is the same as far as I know.

Only answering to point out the difference with SOHC and DOHC bundles in case anyone references this post in the future. The tensioner set up is different on the SOHC as it uses a spring set up. It also has only one pulley in the setup if I remember correctly.

THANK YOU GUYS...well it is a 100k miles tune up...got the car with 75k on the clock but i forgot to ask the dealer whether they knew if the 60k was done to it...and i've been procrastinating to send a letter to the previous owner and ask him...but so far so good...will get the job done in about a week
