I would like to install an electric fan in my '64 ChevyII. It has only a bit more than 3'' between the radiator and the water pump. Any ideas?

You have a Inline 6 huh? Why do you want to put in a Electric Fan? Theres not really a point enless you have a Small Block or Big Block or your running a transmission cooler or Oil cooler.

I'd look into making sure you have a thick (4 row core) enough radiator, they're reasonable enough as new units, first. Also make sure you have a shroud which is easily good for 20 degrees. If you have a clutch fan, make sure it works, a new clutch unit is about $45.

I dont know why I thought you had a Inline 6, that was weird, but I heard the closer the fan to the radiator the better.

A flexalite black magic 150 did the trick.
