90 Firebird Help

Hey hows it goin? I've got a base model 6 cylinder Firebird. Its an automatic. I've recently replaced the alternator, starter, and the idle air control valve. Basically stuff has just been goin on me and I keep replacing everything. The symptoms its showing now is : the car takes a while to start up, and then it revs weird and dies. If I hit the throttle, it dies.

My guess is that its the distributor or cap/rotor. My friend said there might be play in the shaft of the distributor and would mess things up. Other than that, I have no clue. Any help/suggestions would be highly appreciated. Thanks alot - dave

fuel\ fuel pressure could cause this or mass air flow sensor mabey tps but not likely check it any way
also dose the ses light come on while its running
