Is it the stock radio or an aftermarket?

If its aftermarket then it might need a certain CD that you have to put in to unlock it. Sort of an anti-theft deal. Talk to the guy you got it from or call the company that made the cd player and see what they can tell you.

Eclipse head units have an anti-theft that locks the cd player when it is removed from a car...and it's a pain in the ass. One of my friends bought a Eclipse CD player from a friend and it was locked....oops.

I have an Eclipse and it locked on me....but its like really locked. You cant even put a CD in it. sucks.
