Just found a sweet pic of the EVO online. There is a guy at the track that takes pics, and you can purchase the pictures in any size. I wish they had this back when I had the 2g :) They were doing it at my brother motocross races many years ago, but not at the dragstrip until this year, at least for street nights.

For some additional info, I will be wiring in my 2g ECU so I Can run DSMlink (I told you guys I refuse to run a car without DSMlink ;) ). Once that is done I can put the cams in. Last time out with the exhaust, intake, 1g BOV, and MBC, the car ran 13.4 at 103. Trying to go 1 psi over stock, it hit fuel cut. Dammit. :D DSmlink alone should put me into the 12s. The cams should make it a solid 12 second pump gas car. That just about rounds out the mods for this year, and all in time for the shootout.
Speaking of which, anyone here going this year? I'll be staying at the Econolodge as usual. I'm heading out friday august 19th. Feel free to post and we'll make arrangements to drink a few beers when there's no racing going on...

Its at norwalk raceway park in Ohio, about an hour west of cleveland. Its a once a year race Dave Buschur puts on. There is more info at www.buschurracing.com, click on "racing." There is info on dates and class rules, etc. Its a good time. This must be the 12th or 13th shootout, and my 4th one. Been going every year since I first went in 02. :)

I was going to drive over with Jake, but there will be shootout years where I have more money than this one. Cheap FMIC coming instead. I was talking to nichols the other day about Bill's dsmlink'd EVO and I guess he drives it every day since it went in.

Thanks for the compliments guys. I might order a large copy of that pic. The guy driving it looks serious :D
DSMlink is in and running. Car pulls noticeably harder with no tuning at all (fuel zeroed out, timing at all minus 8s). Airflow is showing 39 lbs/min but I need to install the WBO2 tomorrow to validate those numbers. Can't wait to run it friday. Next week, cams. :)

Yeah, we left the sliders at zero and took 9 degrees out of timing, since the EVO peaks at 9 degrees stock. That airflow seems right for 20 psi, but I dont have the cams yet, so it may turn out to be a little high. The EVO MAF is different from the 2g unit of course, so we plugged in the maf comp correction values someone else came up with. Airflow at idle was .27 g/rev though, so it doesnt seem too far off. Trims are out of wack though. One of the guys that did this before me has logged 42 lbs/min on pump, and dynoed 424 whp with an open DP, on the stock turbo. I'll have some logs later on today to analyze.

I assume this 424 whp guy wasn't running pump gas? Or was running water injection (or some alternative)?
Very impressive numbers. Makes me drool while creeping down the road at 28 lb/min. :(

I want to say just under 400 whp on pump gas. HP calc comes out to 390 something too. No water or other type of fluid injected. That is extremely popular in the EVO crowd though...
