There's only one way to learn. Give it a shot, it's easy once you know the basics. Do you arlready have the amp hooked up? If so, you're almost finished.

well basically its 5 connections if for any system.
1. Power wire, run this to your battery under your hood, using at least 8gauge wire, put an inline fuse and fuse holder on this line preferably 60amps or higher, this will connect to your amps 12v+ source.
2. Ground wire, run this from your amps - terminal as short as possible to an unpainted, unrusted, clean peice of metal, rip up some carpet to find a nice mount for it.
3. Remote wire, this is run from the amp to your deck on the ACC line, so that when your deck turns on, so does your amp.
4. RCA wires, these are run from the RCA outs on the back of your deck to the amp, make sure you run the Rear Or Sub outs on your deck, not the front.
5. Speaker wire, these are run from the amp terminals to the sub box terminal, be careful not to reverse the polarity of these or any wires during the setup(ex. hooking the power wire to the negative terminal on amp)
any more questions, feel free to ask.
To aid in your installation for a first timer, you can invest in an amp installation kit, available at most stereo or electronics stores.
