98 Keyless entry

i got a 98 civic ex and out of the blue the other day i couldn't get the doors to unlock with the keyless entry remote. i went and got my spare remote, but it didn't work either. So I had to unlock the door without and of course the horn went off and the only thing I could do was pull the battery cable to get the thing to shut up. I found which fuse was for the keyless and pulled it so i could drive it, but now i have no keyless entry.

Anyone have any idea what could have casued this? Bad relay? Everything else works fine.
