ford contour overheating

I have a 1998 ford contour with 125000 miles. Had a pinhole leak on pipe from water resevor. Caused motor to run hot and blew head gasket. Run liquid gold through and it fixed the gasket problem but still runs hot sometimes. I can fill water resevor and it runs good for a day or two. I have run a radiator cleaner through because of liguid gold and I don't think anything is stopped up. Could I be having water pump problem, I have installed a new thermistate already. The hose that comes out right under the sensor that takes water to the radiator looks very swollen could it be a hose problem. Engine sounds great and I have no more water in the oil. HElp Help

Waterpumps are notorious to go bad if you have the V6. Id say just "band aiding" your blown head gasket isnt the proper way to do it, and still could be causing your coolant to overheat.
