ok
ive been saven up my money and finnally got enough after bills and stuff to put the biggest baddast engine that will fit
so far what i want is a LS7 which is what is goin in the 06 corvette z06s
im pretty sure it will fit besides withe any new engine new engine ill need new engine mounts and new exoust
but before i spend the 12 grand to have the fastest lumina ive ever seen
i wanna make sure it will fit

the ls7 is a small block the puts out 500hp
but i think it should fit
lmk if ne of u have had any trouble putten small blocks in ur luminas
or give me feedback if u think my idea is retarded
pretty much this is jus a rivelry in my town between hondas and chevys and well a lumina is a family car usually and i thought it would be awesome for it to be on top

will it work with the lumina being front wheel drive? just food for thought, I really dont know, just thought I'd add my two cents. wow, I've never thought of doing this, but my hat goes off to you buddy, although that 3.1 should already be on top of most of what any honda can throw at it. If that LS7 doesnt work, drop in a Supercharged 3.8 V6 and put a K&N cone filter on it and flowmaster exhaust. Those motors are indestructable and are pretty quick. Keep us informed on who prevails Chevy vs. Honda. Good luck, god bless, and dont kill yourself.

If the LS7 did indeed squeeze itself into the W body as a FWD, you'd have a good time getting a transaxle for it. If you'd really want to wedge the LS7 into the engine bay, do it with a RWD conversion. If you're going to spend $12,000 on the thing, you may as well finish up and spend $8,000 more on making it RWD with a stick.

Very little is impossible if you have enough fabrication...

my car has already had the rwd conversion and is a stick and its a rebuilt 3.1 v6 cuz i blew the one that came in it right after i got all the shit done 2 it
well from what ive heard its goin to be ALOT of work but i shold have the money in a month or 2 and my lumina is goin to haul ass
theres barly nething besides the body that is stock on mine its pretty much tottally rebuilt even new power windows i got this car for $150 and now when i get the ls7 it will be perfect and yes i have spent WAY to much money on this car but im almost done i cant stop now

Heres my input....Your gonna need to seriously beef up that frame to handle that much power....And your gonna need to seriously beef up your brakes, don't forget those.

Other than that, more power to ya

Just to clarify my mind....Your gonna put a 2006 LS7 Engine, 15k, and a T56 Transmission (don't have a clue, say 2.5k?) into a 93 Lumina? Tub the back end, put some slicks on it and have it run 11.7's in the 1/4 mile?

Yup. 500 hp would turn a unibody inside out the first time you hit the gas.

If I had the time and money, I'd go with a FWD setup with a Caddy Northstar conversion.

My opinion....w/ 12 grand you could buy a used GTP or GS, 1997 or 1998 for about $3500 or $4000----dump in $5000 in mods, at this point you will toast all honda's and pretty much all else, then take the money left over to take a vacation. Good luck!

Them northstars sure arent something to forget about either, one of them in a lumina would be just plain fast...

Also have to think about all the "Holy Shit" expressions if the LS7 conversion is done right...

my goal is to get it to run like high 9s low 10s on the 1/4 mile

Gonna have to do some mods to that LS7 too aren't ya....Don't Z06's only run somewhere like 11.5?

Go spend that 12K on a shiny new Suzuki Hayabusa and run 9's all day long.;)
