the most direct route is to drill a hole in the roof.

not a fun thought.

Any work around ideas that make drilling unecessary?

I don't get it, they say this:
"We ran one pigtail through the roof into the cab"
does that mean they drilled? Then what do the quick connect harnesses do?

the quick disconnect makes it so you can just unhook a few connectors to disconnect the lights(electrically speaking). once that is done, you can easily remove the whole basket/light bar and remount it in a few minutes w/o unhooking stuff.
i believe they drilled into the roof underneath the roof racks to hide the hole and wires as much as possible
