coolant flush procedure

I have the Haynes manual (which tends to be vague about alot of things unfortunately) and I wanted to flush my radiator coolant and refill it.

In their instructions it states:

"... after the coolant stops flowing out of the radiator, move the container under the engine block drain plug. Remove the plug and allow the coolant in the block to drain."

so where's the engine block drain plug? I really wish they'd included a picture since, in my experience, if you pull the wrong plug you're in deep 5h1t :nono: .

my car is a '99 zx2 with manual transmission.

Can anyone describe where the engine block drain plug is?

They can be really hard to find as they are usually fairly small bolts.It wouldnt hurt to drain it but it wont make much difference if you dont.I would drian all coolant out of radiator refill with water all the way put on cap and run car to normal temp. then redrain radiator again.That should flow out alot of the coolant from the block.Then just refill with a good 50/50 mix and your good to go.Also a good note to do the 50/50 mix is to look at capacity in book and what ever it says half that and put pure coolant then fill rest with water.Alot of people mix it 50/50 in the jug and its not the right mix since you will still have coolant in the block and heater core.
