does anyone know what bulbs are need to change the driving lights and how to change them

Are you talking a bout the driving lights or the daytime running lights?

its a 3157 bulb. You can also get the 3157NA if you'd like to have amber running lights.

i got a pair of 3157 white halo LED's, look sweet and last forever.

Hey Nigel215. I put in a set of black Halo with led. How do yours work for night time running on low beam. Mine are terrible and High beam is only ok. Any feed back would be good. Also what is the best light for the price for night driving. I am looking at adding night time driving lights. Lots of moose and deer in my area.

yea, these lights suck dont they? Ive bought 3 different types of bulbs but still no better, just a different color in the light. I believe Jethro got an HID kit for his and was still disappinted. Luckely I live in the city so its not that bad driving at night. I have the ones with the 2 round halo rings without the built in led's. The ones i was refering to in my previous post were the bulbs in the bumper lights.(drl, turnsignal and marker). But yea, ive been lookin for a better pair of hedlights for a wile. I saw some TYC's on e-bay but they dont have the halo rings, I am curious as to how well they work.

You gotta check out Sylvania's X2020 headlight system. They're a true HID headlight (low beam) with the reflector designed and made by Valeo. The ballast is mounted onto the back side of each lens assembly... so all you do is unplug your existing... remove the lens assembly and drop in the Sylvania unit and plug your stock wire that would normally go to the 9006 bulb into the ballast. The ballast to bulb is already pre-assembeld.

The high beam is your regular 9005 bulb but I installed a 9011 bulb from the Dodge Viper for more light output. I then removed the crappy stock fog lights and replaced them with the Sylvania X1010 HID driving lights. This setup now macthes my low beams and comes with a wireless remote....... so now I have driving lights (fog lights) with my low or high beams.

This setup coupled with the high beam mod really lights up the road!!

As for the DRLs....... there is more than 12 volts being sent through the wires and always blowing the 3157's. Use a 4114K bulb (part #15199562) which is a bulb rated for 14 volts. Now my DRLs don't burn out prematurely.

I don't think any HID will make a difference as the surface of the black lenses does not reflect enough. Just my 2 cents worth. I have the 54K, brightest light,HID kit and it does not do it.
