Escort A/C

Have a 95 escort Cooling fan quit working and about the same time a/c quit also. Does the heat sensor have anything to do with the a/c kicking on and off

I don't believe the temp sensor has anything to do with the A/C. But when you turn on the A/C the cooling fan should run so the two are tied together somewhere. I'll look at a schematic later. When you say the A/C doesn't work are you saying the compressor doesn't engage? :confused:

The compressor will engage at times and when it does the air is cool According to the gauge I used the freon is fine

My Escort had a clogged up orifice valve and it made the A/C not work.
