Ultimate Sleeper

What would, in your opinion, make the best sleeper (with proper modifications, of course)? I'm all for a minivan with an engine setup a-la the Renault Espace F1 (mid-engine, 800+hp). But here's a little list I've come up with while I was bored at work:

-Anything made by Kia
-Any minivan
-Any old wagon with that cheap wood panelling on the side
-A rust-covered old truck
-Granny's old Grand Marquis
-Geo Metro
-Hyundais

And here's what would be the true ultimate sleeper, in my opinion:

VW Bus! :lol2:

So, what's everybody else think? Can anybody find a good pic or two of a great sleeper?

Dodge Sprinter, or an 18-wheeler.

Oh and can we give up on threads like this already?

Everyone has had their own preference on this. Mine has always been a LeSabre T-Type with an L67 swapped in....*drools*

Anything korean. :P

I've always liked lower models with higher end models' "good stuff". Like a lancer with an evo engine and drivetrain conversion. Or one of my favs, a Civic with a K20A engine conversion.

Or a higher end model made to look like a lower end one like an Impreza WRX with a front mount IC and 2.5RS hood.

Turbo Dodges (http://www.thedodgegarage.com/) Click on the link for the Reliant on the left side of the page.

Diesel trucks also make pretty good sleepers.

get a dodge spirit R/T... hard to find but it's the ultimate sleeper, or get a saab 9000 aero you wouldn't expect 14s stock from either of those cars.

Wow. THAT's a new one!

For the Dodges . . . loved the old Reliant and Spirit! Ha! And the Dart that looked like a beater - awesome!

I still wish I could find a 12s VW bus. Imagine that!

Personally, my favorite sleeper (that has the sleeper power when you buy it) is the Buick Regal GS. Most people don't even think to see if a Regal is a GS, because they don't think its worth racing. I kinda wish I'd gotten a Regal instead of my GP GT. I love my car, but I'd also love a supercharger:iceslolan. Just my :2cents:.

:naughty: :smokin: :screwy: :evillol: :ylsuper: I want that Metro. Man, nothing quite like sending scads of drivers home whining, "Dude . . . I just got totally pwned by a Geo Metro . . ."

Well thanks, that makes me feel better even though the project is hold for now.

Anyhow, you people all know my answer. I think my car makes a great sleeper mainly because most people don't know that Chrysler turbo-charged these cars let along put their second most potent turbo power plant under the hood. However, of the Turbo Mopars the best sleepers have to be the mini-vans especially those with the fake wood on the sides.
