ok, my ignition switch went bad and ate my key.i could start my car but it would not let me turn it off. so i changed the ignition switch and got a new one from the dealer and the same key with the computer chip in it. the old ignition switch had two yellow wires on it. when i pulled it out, one wire was broken and the other was so brittle it broke taking it out. the new ignition switch is installed and the wires attached. my car will no longer start... i think my own car thinks im trying to steal it! please help me! is there a way to reset the security system?

You shouldnt need to reset anything providing it was hooked up properly..
First thing ide do is verify that the chip in your new key matches the value of the the chip in your old key.. (there was about 14 different chips all together) its possible the dealership gave you the wrong one..
If you'v still got the old key, measure the resistance with an ohm meter or multi meter, and compare that to the resistance of the new key..
if that checks out, there might have been a problem in the wiring.. did you connect the new ignition switch wires right at the connector at the base of the steering column? or did you try to splice them in?
