I don't own a camaro yet but i'm looking into a third gen. There's two things I love about camaro's, especially RS's- the sound, and the body style. I found out about the Motion Iroc Camaros today while searching for a wide body and the race cars they built came with a converted hatch. Instead of a window hatch, it's like a mid engined hatch without vents. I have no clue what this custom installation is called. I know with my first car, a '91 CRX, Erebuni used to sell a kit that omitted the hatch and closed it up, like a ferarri. Doesn't look like they sell it anymore so I'm out of leads. Motion also made a trans am version. http://www.yenko.net/attachments/24056-Motion80Style.jpg

Looks similiar to that of a Notchback GTA, which GM made a select few of.

Now that's what I call helpful blindxeyed! Although I was hoping for a metal kit rather than fiberglass. Well this is a good start, a notchback and a rear back, just what I wanted to know. Thanks again

Hey, no problem man, that's what I'm here for. You'd be better off with a fiberglass one rather than a metal one. It's alot lighter. Though, depending on how much HP you were to be pushing... it might cause alot of loss of traction seeing as in how the rear would be alot lighter than normal. But there's nothing a few bags of sand can't fix :icon16:

Yeah, I forgot where I got the pics from. But I saved what information was on the page that I found it:

"Pontiac Trans Am GTA Collectors Edition "Ferrari Back" Hatch. GM built a precious few of these rare gems in 1988 with this unique factory installed hatch. The "Notchback", as GM calls it, makes the GTA look like a Ferrari from the rear. The hatch has a flat vertical window that allowed it to be tinted with one piece of film, and it looks sharp. You'll turn lots of heads with this car. The GTA originally sold for $21,000 and holds it's value much better than the Formula Firebird, or the standard Trans Am."

and here's a site that was apparently selling one. Has lot's of pics. http://www.carmotorsports.com/Cars_for_Sale_GTA.htm

Those back seats are pimp.. Almost makes you wanna ride in that back rather than the front.

Who would have thought I'd find exactly what I'm looking for, and the company stops selling it ...again.

Yeah me too. There's this guy right down thw street from me who has a really nice looking red one. It's not a notchback, but it's still a GTA none-the-less. He's been restoring it over the years. Only thing about it I don't like is that it's a 5.0 TPI, Auto. The rest is nice. It just needs some more TLC and it'll be lookin real good. The passenger door, he said was caught on one of those poles that you see at the gas station in between the pumps, and it was pulled all the way forward. So the very edge of the door is somewhat scrunched up. That, and the left tail light has a small hole in it. Looks like someone threw a rock at it or something. Anyway, he said he'd sell it for $3000. I would buy it.. but, I want my money. So, yeah.

Dont think the Camaro could pull it off, the Firebird does but not sure about the Maro.
