today my 97' plymoth voyagers air bag light came on. On my drive home it would come on for a few minutes and then go off, and then come on again. Does this mean the air bag is broken? Does anyone know anything about this? I would appreciate the help

My 2000 dodge caravan i bought 2 years ago. I got a recall notice for the airbag clock spring recall. Check the Dodge Official website under owner then click on recalls. It should tell you if its included in the same recall as mine.Just enter last 8 digits of your vin#. Your airbag light should come on when starting van then go out when running. With it flashing It may not be working. It may be covered under recall to be fixed at a dealer for no charge to you.

well, you forgot, there's Milage limit chrysler dodge covers only up to 100k miles after that it's to your cost!
First, is it only the Airbag light?
Or does it affect Horn and Cruise control , too?
If so, then it's definetly the Clock spring, located in the steering column!
good luck....

last winter, there was a recall was for the clockspring in the steering column. if you wanted it replaced back then, the dealers would have replace it for free on caravans with less then 70,000 miles on it. for the rest of the cars, they will replace it for free only if it fails. so if it turns out to be the clock spring, take it to a dodge dealer and they'll replace it for free
