First I would like to thank all of you for all the info in these forums. I have been reading them for a few months now trying to decide to buy a tib or not. Because of the great feedback in these threads I just purchased a Red 04 Tib GT V6 with 11k miles. I got a good price on it cause it had a little fender bender and needed to replace bumper and driver side fender. The delema comes from the airbags that deployed. My machanic called a whole saler and they said that there are different dashes for the 03 to 05 models and mine is a special edition so it is much more expensive then the regular GTs.
First questions are:
:eek7: I had no clue that my tib was a SE has black cloth seats and a five speed. Guess it has a different windshield that has black on top and the bigger spoiler....
Is this guy mistaken are there different dashboards?
How can I tell if my tib is special edition?
Are all 03-05 dashboards interchangable?
Last question is does anyone know where I can purchase airbags and a dashboard for somewhat of a resonable price?
I dont mind if they are used.
or know anyone that has used tib stuff for sale.
Thanks again for all your help with question and for helping me lean towards the TIB.

there is absolutely no differences in the 03/ 04/ 05 dashes... theyre liying to you and the fact that yours is a SE, doesnt mean anything either.. same dash as any other tib, once again theyre lying to you. jus trying to get more cash from you.

check ebay (http://www.ebay.com) for air bags and such.... every once in awhile youll find a dash and/ or airbags

Plus, you don't have an SE if you have a 5 speed. SE's had a 6 speed, special edition badging, and the 3 multigauges in the dash.

And after you're done with that, go to that mechanic and punch him in the face!
