Might be selling my Cavy. I think I have a good price on it, but what would you guys offer me for a '98 RS. All stock. Only 68,000 miles. Body is excellent, paint needs buffed. Just tuned it up -> including new K&N filter and O2 sensor, autolite plugs and wires. I have been putting at least 93 Octane since last winter, sometimes 94 when I can remember where I find it. Any ways... I would be asking 4500, but last December, I had professionally installed (and warrantied) system put in. Alpine head unit, component Alpine speakers in the doors, custom plate to mount it. Memphis mids in the rear deck -> Speakers powered by an amp, of course. 2 12" Kicker FreeAir in a bandpass box. And a Car alarm, spent almost 1500 dollars on it, got reciets to prove it.

This car was bought brand new by my brother, then it went to my dad because big bro couldn't make payments, then I bought it off my dad, so it's practically a one owner.

in november i bought a 98 rs 5 speed, 2200 it has a sunroof and cd player (stock) it had 79000 miles on it, the inside was mint, every part of the interior looks brand new, the body looks almost perfect except for a few minor (very minor) dings here and there, and i paid $4000, just my opinion but i think i paid too much

Part it all out and sell it stock. You'll make more $$$ back that way.

^^true...

That damned blue book of death! I really don't understand how a vehicle can depreciate so incredibly fast, it's a 98 and it's only worth a few hundred more than my 92. :screwy: It still has the same metal, plastic, glass, carpet, vinyl, wires, electronics, engine, etc., etc., etc., if it costs so much to make how can all those materials be worth nothing in a matter of years. Must be nice to be those rich bastards, able to set the bar to whatever they want, make a car that costs maybe 10 grand to produce, sell it for 20 grand, then 5 years later it's worth 1-2 grand :screwy: :screwy: :screwy: :screwy: :screwy: :screwy:

Sorry, I'll get off my soapbox now

This is why I can't justify ever selling my car...

Keep the upkeep amazing on your car and you'll be amazed how quick your car will sell when you sell it. A spotless engine bay will sell really fast over a dirty one. LOL...
