Blinker Problems

I have a 94 Intrepid and I am having blinker problems where ususally I need to warm up my car before the blinkers will work properly either they will be stuck or won't work at all. Today though I drove 15 mi before anything would happen and now they are working fine but I don't know what to do other than disconnect and reconnect the bulbs to the switch. Any ideas?
