Rear Heater controls

(1998 Silhoutte) My rear fan will work when I controll it from the front of the van. but when I allow the people in the rear to control thier own heat, the blower will not come on. when I switch it off R, I can control it from the front. Please help.

It is probably something in your rear control panel. My schematic says there is a relay and some temperature control circuits in there (active components - most likely to fail).
I would try to pull it out carefully and then listen for the "click" of the relay when you switch the main control to "Rear." If you don't hear it, the relay could be bad, or there could be a loose connection to the rear control module. If the temperature control circuit is bad, you will probably have to replace the whole control module, but check that the rear temperature control knob is on full cold first.

How do you remove the switch. I dont want the whole header to fall down. Is there screws or does it snap in place uptop?

I don't have the rear AC system, so I don't know. But based on experience, if you can't find any screws, you can probably find a plastic notch around the outside of the control unit where a small screwdriver can be used to pry the unit out. BUT ... you might want to wait for some input from other folks here.
UPDATE: My manual says to use a small flat-bladed tool to pry and release the mounting tabs of the control. If you have the overhead system, this appears to be just the knob and control assembly, NOT the entire assembly.
