Keyless Entry Remote

I have a 2000 Intrigue and recently the buttons on the remote had to be pushed several times to work. Naturally I thought the battery was going out so I replaced it. I followed the re-callibration instructions in the owner's manual, but no luck...it doesn't work at all. Anyone have any thoughts?

My 2001 Intrigue had a similar problem with the remote door locks, however it was limited to the drivers door only. Turned out to be a sticky mechanical linkage between the electric solenoid and the lock itself. Lubed it and works great.
