'98 SE - loss of power when turning

thought i'd try a different forum for suggestions to this big time mystery...
i have a '98 bonneville se with 101k. intermittently, the car will lose power when turning (right or left). it has done this since the car was new, except it used to only do it during left turns. the problem will come back, then maybe will go away for a couple days, then will do it at every turn you take.
i've had the fuel pressure regulator replaced under a recall, that fixed nothing. plugs, wires, pcv valve, fuel filter, o2 sensor are all brand new, and none of those have fixed the problem. i'm not so sure that it's a fuel delivery problem as much as i'm thinking it's a pressure/vaccuum problem somewhere.
it's getting quite frustrating after this many years, and i just want to find it and fix it! i do know of the bulletin for the '92s that had the power loss problem on right turns, but my car is 6 years newer and does it only intermittently.
any advice anyone has would be very much appreciated.

i had the 92 model at the time had 110,000 and the only thing that fixed the problem was replacing the fuel pump along with the fuel pressure regulator, and the fuel sending unit, it cost me over 700 dollars but the problem never came back after that, ive never heard of any of the newer models doing it tho.

My '98 had a problem losing power on left turns (well that's when I noticed it since I could take left turns at a much higher speed generally.) I had a leak from the rack/pinion assembly so I kept having to add fluid. When the power steering fluid gets particulary low, it would happen to me.

Well, the only thing left would be the fuel pump & strainer plate. Have you considered replacing the fuel pump? If you could rig a mechanical pressure gage to the fuel rail and monitor it while driving, that would provide some valuable information.
