alrighty well i got back from out west yesterday, got my insurance straightened out as soon as i got back, drove around fine yesterday and most of today, then when i left to go to work, i started my car and as i was putting my seatbelt on, everything shut off with my keys still in the ignition. it was like a blackout. so i checked things like the ceiling lights and headlights and they all worked. so now when i put my key in the ignition nothing happens, nomatter what position my key is in.. i have a feeling that it has something to do with my ecu cause its exposed (old kick plates had broken speakers and were in the way so i took em out) and ever since it got knocked (around november last year) my tach hasn't worked and my hicas light has been on (even though the hicas is still actually working).. could it be some fried wires in the harness? maybe fried ecu? or would my ignition have anything to do with it? (its actually slightly loose but i tried tightening it and that didn't help) i'm towing it over to the dealership on monday to see what they say but i'm too eager to know so i'm askin anybody who would be helpful enough to give their opinion or a possible online diagnosis.
thanks ladies

yeah, whats the deal with the ecu's now?? i thought i read that either jwt is shitty now and enthalpy is the way to go?? what about the BD ecu?? it says its for 52lb injectors and z32 maf.. do they come with it??

i dont know, maybe its not even the ecu. i don't
know much about ignitions but i think my ignition is shot cause its all loose. when the key is in the 'on' position, is that the ONLY time electrical currents can go through the ecu???

this is very confusing, i hope someone has had a similar problem and an easy fix. i'm gonna check out the 240sx.org faq.

thanks chuck, and its good to be back

ok, it'll cost you $4500 plus shipping. good price for you sir. haha

but damn it sucks that i can't drive it, especially when its hot and sunny out!!

whatever, i just hope its nothin huge. i could deal with getting an enthalpy ecu, new injectors and a new mafs all at once..

o yea and dont know if you heard or not. Boost designs is a no go. They SUCK. People would get horrible(and i mean horrible) mani's. The one in the pic isnt the mani you even get....they changed the design and failed to tell people. Boostdesigns is pretty much non-existant not.

btw, my names not chuck lol. Its Ryan....a bit femanine but what can i do??

BD is pretty much gone now.

JWT and Enthalpy are the main suppliers of ECUs now. I went with an Enthalpy tune.

anyways i'll let you guys know whats happening tomorrow.
