okay, i have heard that the head gasket is not alot of fun to remove on this car, someone told me about using dowels on the cam something or other, so that stuff wouldnt shift or be lost. anyways, could anyone help me, or give me some tips on what to watchout for,
I am sure with the radiator belching water out and some occassional white smoke out the tail pipe that i have blown a headgasket.
thanks

well, depends on what engine you have. If you have the 2.5 liter 4 cylinder, that is a relatively easy engine to do. Once you've taken off the intake & exhaust manifolds and the timing belt, take the head bolts out in the opposite of their tightening sequence. If the head is stuck to the engine, get a rubber mallet and beat on the side of the motor until you unstick the head from the block. Other than that, it's pretty straight forward.
