fuel injector cleaning

I've seen several folks here refer to how they cleaned their fuel injectors. How did you clean them? By that I mean what are you using?
I've tried looking at Autozone and Advance for the type of injector cleaner that is run directly through the fuel rail and nobody seems to know what I'm looking for.
What's the secret? :)
Thanks

Gasoline has detergents in it so I've always figured you should't need to have the injectors cleaned. The type of injector cleaning you are referring to is done at diesel engine shops but I don't know if it's the same as for gas engines.

There used to be fuel injector cleaning kits available that used aerosol cans attached to a hose that connected to the fuel rail. I think this is what I'm looking for.

dont bother. The injectors on the escort are built to last forever. Running the stuff you put in your gas can will should be good enough.
