coat everything in purple magic(castrol super clean) and then rinse it off really good

1) What steps do you take to protect electrical, etc?
2) rinse with hose, spray bottle, sponge?

just get a pray bottle of csc from walmart, soak the entire engine compartment with it, then rinse it off with your hose, make sure that it has some pressure, no need to safe prrof any electrical
