starter issue

i have starter issue. i am trying to use a remote solenoid to my starter.can i splice off the big cable that hooks to the starter and jumpsmaller to starter solenoid will this work. please help

Need more of an explaination. Are you trying to remotely start your car? If you are I would just get it Professionaly done. You can get package deals too. My friend just got an Alarm and a remote starter for 190 with Installation. Deals are you there, just look around.
