I'm about to sell my car and get a new one. Since i'm selling my current system with the car i'm going to need to grab a new amp.

i'm not sure which amp is the better quality. I'm looking for sound quality, not noise. I'm choosing between Autotek, Lanzar, Power Acoustik, or i might get one nice high end Orion.

what do you guys think (sparq especially)

also, what is a good 10" sub for a 3rd gen RX7. i was thinking i'd make a downfirign sealed box in my spare tire well. whatever the case the sub needs to do well in small enclosers. thanks!

autotek stealth series if you can afford it. great amp. they are even built to take a 1ohm bridge load!! hardly any amp will do that. how much can you spend on subs? any brands in particular?

i am on a pretty steep money scale here.. i'm trying to pay for a 3rd gen RX7 (which selling my car should pay for a good deal of) and i also have to pay for insurance (did i mention i'm 18 and in college?).
I'm only planning on spending about $300 total on amps and about $100 for sub. I'll make my own box. I plan on running compenets up front. i have some ultimate 6.5"s and 5.25"s just laying around from my old system, so i'll just put whichever fits in there. i'll run my front speakers and my sub off the amp and let my back speakers (if i even have them) run off my head unit. I get slightly better prices than what it says it http://www.buyloud.com, but that's what i use to gauge roughly what i'll pay (and i might do better or worse once i talk to sparq :)

I also need a head unit... Sparq, any suggestions knowing roughtly what i plan on running? i just want CD player, not MP3 and no need for changer or changer controls.

thanks

hahah! i said BRIDGE load. of course those MONO block amps can be stable to 1ohm. most of the amps you mentioned were 1 channel amps. u think the pyramid can really handle it?:smoker2: . i was referring to 2 channels bridging into one:rolleyes: looks like you're the one that got owned!

ps. internal bridge amps don't count!:finger::smoker2:
