I have the link his roommate made in the buick forum.... This is a sad day, Andy was a good guy, i got to meet him and know him personally, we were supposed to go cruising this summer. Not only is it sad to hear that a guy as kind and helping as Andy died, but he possessed a lot of knowledge about cars and was always willing to spread it around... I'm proud to say i had a beer with that man... RIP Andy.. :frown:

I didn't know him really but I saw him post several times and he seemed like a nice cool guy.
I'll never forget this story he told though and it's sad we won't be hearing anymore like it.

He had been traveling at more than 100 mph when the tire blew, police said.
Remember guys, speed kills. (The tyre killed in this case, but speed was a very dominant factor in what caused the accident). Take care out there.

There are no words that can express the depth of what happend here. The lose of any person is a tragic thing. I did not know Andy personally but I do know he was a great guy and was fun to talk to. I keep hopeing this is another April's fools gag but I know its not. RIP Andy

Z28Josh has been kind enough to offer to deliver letters to Andy's family from us if we send them to him. I for one , find the need to express to his loved one's how much being friends with Andy meant to me and how much knowing him effected the person I am today. If anyone would like to just take a few moments to write up a little something on Andy let it be a funny post that made you laugh or how he answered your question or PM or how in some way he effected your life as well I would greatly appreciate it, cause Andy gave alot to this forum and if you had known him you know he took this forum and his advice very seriously and we should all in this time express to his family just how much we all appreciated this. There will never be another like him.

I agree with you there. I said that in some random thread and got nothing but abuse. At least I know there is one other AF member who is aware of this.

Lets not get into a don't speed kids direction here, There were many contributing factors in what happen to Andy and yes, we all know speed kills but regardless this is a tragedy. So no preaching necessary.

i go away for a weekend, and this is what i come home to. :(
i am completely speechless and shocked. harmlessly browsing through COT, and i came across josh's signature picture. then another member with a note in his sig. then a couple more. i didn't know whether to believe it or not, but here's the thread...and here's the reality. AF has lost one of it's true shining stars. we, both as a website and as individual people, were blessed to have Andy in our lives, though it may only have been (for most of us anyways) through an electronic medium. he was a true enthusiast, who shared his love with us every day.
he will be missed and my most heart-felt condolences go out to his loved ones and those who actually had the priviledge of knowing Andy in real life, and not just through a computer screen.
RIP.

Just gettting back from vacation myself and found this out.
I didn't "know" him except for his posts but he seemed like a really decent guy.
I hope that this doesn't come across the wrong way because I mean nothing bad at all, but at least he went out doing something that he lived for and didn't end up with Cancer or some other shitty way of going out.
Please accept my sincere regrets and condolences to all of his friends and family.

Yeah man.. driving down the road, driving fast, having your favorite music on, heading home as the day closes. What a great feeling he must have had, it's nice knowing that was to be his last experience, if it had to be anything.

Hi guys!
I haven't checked in here for awhile...I have been busy like everyone...I get on here to show my beautiful wife some of these posts and it is still the hardest thing I have ever had to face...Andy is gone but we still keep him alive...Everytime I turn around he is right there...I am slowly gaining on the Grand National in his honor, it is a slow process. I will get back on here again soon. It is too late for me tonight! But some great things have happened this year...tell ya more later...
Thank You all .....
Jeff ( Andy's Dad )
You still bring me tears of pride...
