I was wondering how to adjust my e-brake because it is loose enough that I park in first gear. I the wheel off but I couldn"t find anything to adjust.

Redbeagle, you're profile says you have a cavalier? There is a chevy forum where you may find more reliable information.

BUT

Standard issue on a Honda with drums would be to tighten both the tensioner on the line outside the drum that runs into the chassis (right behind the drum) and then adjust the shoes inside the drum using a very small flathead screwdriver or drum tool. It's not that difficult, but I would get yourself a manual before, what I just typed is by no means accurate directions, just the general idea of how it's done.

Not sure about rear discs, likely the same or easier, by just adjusting the tensioner on the cable.

get underneath the car, find the cable and somewhere down there youll find a place where you can tighten it
