Had my check engine light come on the other day. Had it checked for free at Autozone.
Code is P0125
Description says:
"Troublecode obdII (Alpha) P Code
The PCM has determined that the amount of time it took for the coolant Temperature sensor to reach an input value consistent with closed loop operation was too excessive."
Am in danger of over heating? I'm going on a 7 hr trip each way this coming weekend. should i worry about it? Going to take it to a dealership, but anyone have some insight?
thanks

Your coolant temp sensor is probably bad. The sensor doesn't tell OBDII that you've reached an acceptable running temp after a certain amount of time, and as a result, OBDII is afraid your car is malfunctioning or will overheat.
If your car is not running in closed loop because OBDII is afraid you will overheat, your car will probably be in limp mode, and will not enjoy a 7 hr trip. Take it to a dealer and see what they have to say. Never had experience with this before, but that's my best guess.
