Hi guys. I was originally gonna get a G20, but when i saw the Skyline I quickly fell in LOVE. I seriously love this car.:bloated: I was checkin out this forum and some one meantioned lookin at a New Zealand used car site (Autopoint.co.nz i think.....) and found Skylines next to nothing. I Checked it out maself and he was right!!! You can get one for like 5,000$$.
Now my question here is how do I bring it here into the USA and How much am i gonna need?? Also do the engines in the Skylines there run on our gas or do i need to modify the engine (even though im gonna;) ) And finally whats the difference between the R33 GTS-T skyline as opposed to the R33 GT-R skyline?? (Liters?....turbos?....power?......)
Thanks for all the help!!!:D

Well, sadly enough, it is rather hard (and expensive) to get a skyline into the US. Basicaly, if you are planning on making it street legal, your only option is MotoRex. Some will debate that but it is IMHO the best option. They will charge somewere around $15k to get it into complience with US DOT and EPA.
The Skyline engine runs on unleaded gas, because it's turbocharged RB26DETT you need to run the highest RON, or octane, that you can to prevent detonation.
The differences between an R33 GTS-T and GTR are mainly this.
The GTR has the RB26DETT Engine while the GTS runs on the RB20DET engine (2.0l Single Turbo). The GTR has the ATTESSA ETS AWD system that makes the GTR the beast it is. The GTS is Rwd. The suspensions are different specs I think, different rims and tyres, and I think the tranny and clutch are different.
Now if you don't want to spend the money on a GTR, let me offer this alternative. The R33 GTS-4 is powered by an RB25DE engine and has the same ATTESSA system as the GTR. Should you buy this engine, strap a turbo, boost controler, injectors, dump pipe, exhaust, filters, and intake. You would have a damn quick car, with AWD :D
Hope I helped, if you have any more questions don't hesitate to ask, there are tons of ppl who know much more about skylines then I around on this board :)
