wideband o2 sensor? and gauges?

1.I was hopeing someone could explain what "wideband" O2 sensor means? I remember reading somewhere how for my particular car "'94 300zx TT" a narrow band O2 sensor would be useless. Is this true? and if so why? What are the differences and uses?

2.Also has anyone out there used the Auto Meter D-Pic Performance Meter Gauges? If so, what is your opinion. How acurate do you feel it was?

3.I am considering building a custom dash with all new gauges and incorporating a few other components such as turbo timer, boost controller, and an indash monitor/dvd/navigation player. I like the Defi link system as well as the autometer nexus, but both are kinda pricey. Any advice or opinions? I am sure this will be a complicated project, but look forward to learning alot. Basically what I am looking for now is opinions on the different after market gauges on the market now. Any bad or good experiences?

We use the Innovation LM-1 Systems. We use them on the dyno and on the track. The system includes Bosch Wide Band Sensor, 5 other inputs and 45 minutes of full data acquisition. Or you can just use the XD-1 with gauge and wideband sensor in your application. A narrow band 02 sensor is of little to no value for reading a/f.

same here, I use this system on both my cars. For me, the datalogging is most important, as both cars accelerate too fast to be able to watch the gauges (except the tach). The ability to data log lets you download the info to your computer and make sense out of it in the privacy of your home....
