i was searching through used cars on the internet and i came across an unbeleivable deal!!! A 2001 Honda Accord with 21000 miles on it for $4000. At first i thought this has got to be a scam or something. The guy has pictures of it on his sight and says it doesn't have any problems.
The only thing is that i can't test drive the car. I talked to the guy that was selling it through E-mail and he said that he has moved to london and is selling off all of his stuff because he got married and his wife has a house and everything in London.. That is why it is sooooo Cheap.
He said that he can ship the car to me with all of the papers once we close the deal.
What do you think i should do?????
I was thinking of having him send me some Recent Dated pictures in the mail so that i know that the car actually exists.
:confused::confused::):eek7:

scam... i saw a 2003 civic si for sale a while ago for 3 grand, same story some guy was in greece and he was going to ship it to me for no cost... i told him to quit dicking around and he never talked to me since... a general rule of thumb: If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

yeah, that's what i'm thinking too. i might try to get some more information out of him though. If it isn't a scam (probably is) I would miss out on a great deal.
I'll probably end up buying from a local dealer though.
what cars get better gas milage Civics or Accords
I am going to college soon and i am going to have to drive about 80 miles a day. right now i have a crown vic and it chugs the gas.

civics, definitely get better gas mileage, especially the 5-speed (my ex 5spd gets 38 highway, 32 or so city). Well worth it, and they're usually cheap and have all the bells and whistles you need... i just got mine for the same reason, for college and the commute to co-op.

$7000-$8000 for a clean well optioned '95-'98 Closer to $10000 for a well optioned '99+, You can get a base model '95-'98 for around $5000

yeah, it all depends on the shape of the car... i got my 98 civic ex sedan in march for 2 grand, but it needed a lot of bodywork... still working on it, but i still saved a ton of money.

Oh yeah and for the TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE thing it is not always right For Example my grandpa bought a fairly large size house and about 2.5 acres of land for $5.00 about 30 years ago. and we just bought a 99 Buick century with 40K miles on it in nearly perfect condition for $1k Those deals would seem too good to be true.

Wow, that's amazing... but this one is a popular type of scam... the whole out of country "I'll mail it to you" scheme... but wow, a 99 for 1grand, and a house and land for 5 bucks? What was the deal with those? Did you buy them from a 10-year old?

well the 99, the people we bought it from just didn't use it anymore and it was just sitting there. They were going to give it to their daughter but they bought her a new car. They weren't really trying to sell it. My dad saw it there in the same spot for a few days while he was working and decided to ask about it. they didn't really want it anymore so they took 1k for it(these folks were LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOaaaaaaaaaadddddddddddeeeeeeeeddddd dd)
so they didn't really think much of it.:eek7::eek7::eek7::eek7:
The house I'm not sure about that all i know is that my grandpa bought it when my dad was about 10 years old. I think the guy owned alot of land somewhere nearby and didn't use the house. I have seen the papers on it though and i am still amazed by it. Where he lives the property taxes are based on purchase price so he hardly pays anything.:bigthumb::bigthumb::bigthumb:

WTF? I got my 95 EX coupe, in good shape, with 88k miles for 4k. Certainly do not come even close to 10k, if you do you're getting scammed... again.
