First good night with Raiden

It was a good night for Raiden tonight. I even had my first kill before I even left my neighborhood, thats right, a fucking armadillo runs out in front of my car so I swerve to the left to avoid him.... Guess what! Thats the exact direction he decides to run *thump thump* I hear the 2 left tires roll over the creature.
I wasn't too happy about that but at the same time
it held foreshadowing to what the night would turn out like
I cruised around the local straights for a while in order to see how the
car was running and I come to some traffic ahead, damn. In the traffic however was an orange del sol complete with a body kit
and good sounding subs that were bumping one of those funny
ass lil' john songs. I took off a little quick in traffic then slowed down
just to let him know I had something interesting for him.
As traffic cleared I switched from the middle to left lane and hammered
it in 4th. I guess he got the idea because eventually he went flying
by, hazards and all. I followed behind him until we came to a highway
turn off.
Now, normally I would discontinue my pursuit here and turn around
but tonight I felt like reinstating my pride and not just
to prove it to myself, but to let this guy know who's faster
as well. We hopped on the highway and I'm not sure if he was
going WOT but I had it floored in 4th and had to jab the brakes
as to stop from rear ending him on the way up.
We got a break in the usual highway traffic you experience
when coming off of an onramp and I continue my pursuit.
I pulled up next to him in 5th, downshifted to 4th, then to 3rd
and began to slam the accelerator a few times to let him know
I was ready. I basically followed his cue for the race,
when he hit the pedal, I hit the pedal and well needless to say,
I pulled carlengths on him within seconds, changed lanes
to avoid a truck in front of me, reverted to my previous lane
and slowed down. I promptly hit the hazards as I slowed down and
what do you know, he then pulls in front of me and hits HIS
hazards again.
OKAY, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. I SPRINT up to him
in 3rd, give him a glare and hold next to him. Same start as
before, I mash it when he mashes it BUT this time I take it
all the way into 3rd, all the way into 4th and by the time
I shift to 5th I believe I had hit some sort of limit in the car
as a second or two after the shift to 5th I noticed
the ignition started to cut off and the rpms dropped way down.
Its alright that I hit that cut though, I had already
pulled plenty of car lengths on him anyway. I figured that was about enough and threw him a thumbs up out of my window... What do you know, he held his thumb up in honor as well. That's certainly a first down here, someone with a bodykitted, 'hooked up' honda with a sense of honor.
I think I'm done hating on the aesthetically focused cars around
here now. Its as if this guy has shown me that there's life on distant
planets. Although be it that it is hard to find intelligent life elsewhere,
we still know it exists. Thats more or less how this run ended.
Now, its just kicking back, sipping a few beers and basking in
tonight's victory.
Enjoy everyone and remember, race wisely, I got realllly lucky that there were no patrols on the stretches of roads that I raced this guy on. They seem to be getting more and more cops on my roads these days (maybe you too) and nothing is shittier than getting pulled over for a harmless little highway sprint.

good race man...aesthetically focused cars are okay in my book...as long as they don't talk shit and end up sucking my exhaust...

Nice kill I enjoy beating hondas. But I do not believe that you should be saying that kitted hondas are not cool because you own a nissan wich is as much of a rice patty as a honda

uhh well first of all thanks but I was more referring to the way that people decide to throw money into aesthetic upgrades without considering power upgrades. MY NISSAN is FAR from aesthetically upgraded, all the money that has been spent on it thus far has been purely for performance.
As far as both cars go, yes they are both ASIAN imports if thats what you mean by rice patties? Such a condescending way of referring to the origination of an automobile won't really go too well here. That would be like me dubbing your 66 stang (I am a fan of old mustangs) an outdated rust bucket.
There is a significant difference between a honda full of aesthetic upgrades and a nissan with primarily performance upgrades done to it, thats the point I was trying to make, not bashing so much on hondas but the cars that are all show and no go. Besides, I ended the post to say I don't hate on them anymore anyway...?

show cars blow. all go and hardly any show is better in my books, but haha since he hihstang started it, i'll call his car a nice rustang or a nice yank tank. i know i'm not too fast but i'm making around 300hp to the rear wheels so i wouldn't exactly be called a rice patty either.

haha well I'll always be all go and no show (well at least until I have to invest on a larger rim/tire setup to solve some traction issues). I will always prefer the performance route but these days when I see other people that took the alternate route to car modification I just feel like I have to be kind and gentle with them... Kind of as if I'm dealing with mentally handicapped people and I have to make sure not to make comments about their mental disabilities so as not to scar them for life.

i don't care about show people as long as they don't think they're fast. then i would be glad to teach them a lesson.

i advise all who lives near the state of Oregon to go race there. Most of the time there only two state troopers for the whole state. I mean, Isn't that nice of them to give you guys so much room to race on without police. :naughty:
Cause i keep noticing you guys have alot of cops running around there. My friend who went to NY and Washington for a couple of days couldn't believe it. Special forces were patrolling around the dow jones.
And then all those stuff about the army. He made lots of fotographs and now i know it's really alot different with you guys.
I bet it's an interesting way to make people believe they need to be scared. But of what, eh??

haha rustang...its been a while since ive heard that one...
Nice kill on the sol, and its pretty impressive that you got a thumbs up. id always rather ending a race with mutual respect with the other driver rather than the finger
and cops are definately a problem out there...but I drive as fast as I feel like in the States cause they can't come get me in Canada...

lol, funny sig. If hihpstang feels it necessary to make anymore ignorant comments I'm afraid I'll have to quote him and throw it in as well.
:grinno:
Nah but really man, cool car and all but sucky perspective.

It's pretty cool that the dude in the Honda gave you the thumbs up. At times I wonder if some guys are just messing around with the whole "hazard lights" thing. Ya know. Like they think us gear heads or tuners take racing too seriously. So to piss us off, they play the ignorant ricer game, do fly-bys, and all that just to get a rise out of us. But that's me.
Anyway, glad he gave the thumbs up. Showed that he was a good sport about.
