Hey all,

I am trying to gather as much info as possilbe on how difficult it would be to swap my TH350 and NP203 to a M20 and NP205 I know that I will have to hang a pedal and route lines for a hydraulic clutch but has anyone preformed this swap or one similar before. i would also like to get an idea of the cost. I will be doing the labor myself and will either buy good condition junkyarders or rebuild the units. Or would I be better off swapin in a NP205 and keepin the TH350 I don't mind the auto its kinda nice and is in great shape with a shift kit, but I not sure if its worth the time to buy part and convert so I can't mount the two together. Anyone that has an opinion or any info on either one of these topics I would be greatful!

I know of a dealership that I used to use. They could supply me with any adapter to install any Chevrolet transmission into any chevrolet.
We used to swap out 7700R4 transmissions and install the TH350. The dealer could give us the dipstick tube, mount, rear adapter, and detent cable to complete the job.

This dealer was Jim Ryan Chevrolet in Minot, North Dakota.

How much did all that cost you?

Well, I was working for a transmission shop at the time and I honestly did not care. So, you will have to check on it.
I guess what I was trying to tell you was that the dealer has parts for converting tradrive-train over. If you find a good parts man (like the man at Jim Ryan Chevrolet in Minot, ND) you would have no problem getting the parts.

see ya,
