Hello. I have a 85 olds delta 88 w/ 307 when I reach about 40 mph it seems to bogg out like it's running out of gas. I thought it might be the transmission module But I don't see one on the trany...? is there one and if so where would it be located. and if there is'nt one what could be the problem.

Thanks
Al

The 307 engines dont have ignition modules -- they have actual distributors. It would be the large black cylander where the spark plug wires connect into.

I dont know what kind of problems a bad one would bring you though....

Thanks Alibi, I know there is an ignition control module inside the distributor cap. But my question was, is there a transmission module?
it's basically a diaphram that is screwed into the trany above the transmission oil pan with a rubber vacume hose attached, I had a simmular problem with an 86 ford f150 what was happening was the vacume line to the trans module was filling up with trany fluid causing it to bogg out, at speeds of 40 -50 mph. once the module was replaced it ran as good as new.I don't think this trany has one Unless it's electrical??

I called an auto part store and they said it shows that there is a transmission module, for the transmission. but they had none in stock. I looked on the trany and I don't see and vacume line for the trany module, I only see a three wire plug, plugged into the side of the transmission on the driver side right next to the linkage. I wounder if thats the module.

this is mind boggling. Anymore help would be greatful.

Thanks Al
