Rubbing noise

My 2002 Liberty has 98,000 miles on it and for sometime now when I back up and turn the steering wheel there is a bubbing/knocking sound which seems to be coming from the back and underneath the vehicle. This noise only happens at very low speeds and while backing up. Any ideas on what the problem could be?
