valve question

on my project moter, i am useing a comp cams high energy camshaft, and someone told me that because i have a larger cam i need the valves to be recut, is this true or does it not apply to new moters? if it is true, any one have a rough idea as to how much its going to cost me?? thanks in advance

I'm pretty sure that is B.S. The machine shop would have already done all the work required to the heads.
You'll need heavier duty valve springs than stock, but that's about it.

Comp camsoffers a lot of tech info on their cams on the internet http://www.compcams.com/Technical/ and they have suport workers to help you out.

Sorry if it's another company that made your cam, but all the companies offer simular suport

no head work, work on the valves themselves. and i already have the higher lift springs, made for a .550 and thats my gross lift, intake/exhaust is like .490/.52x, im thinkin its goin to get slapped together, buy a computer and wireing harness, put that shit into the truck so when ins. autits it at the shop, they get EVERY aspect of my baby
