air bags

I'm dying my interior and need to know how to remove the driver and passenger air bag covers, do they simply pop off with force? also does the 03 have side door are bags? and are there any precautions I should take before remove the covers like disconnecting the battery.

i would disconnect the battery and pull the fuse for the airbags just in case. i believe the covers just pop off.

no there are not side door airbags.

Yeah the side air bags are in the side of the seat. If you want to disconnect them just to be on the safe side there is a connector piece under each seat where you can disconnect them at.

since when did the eclipse come with side air bags? i know the have driver side airbags and passenger side airbags, but those are not side/door airbags. now the 4G comes with side airbags
