Tail Gate Rattle

Hi All,

Has anyone experienced a rattling noise that seems to come from the tail gate door? It used to happen only going over bumps, but now also occurs when going around turns and stopping. Thinking of taking it to the dealer, but they don't seem to be very helpful...

haven't had the problem... cause well, I don't have a sorento. But maybe the springs on the latch are getting weak leaving room for some play...

Best bet would problably be to have someone ride back there to isolate the area if this doesn't turn out to be a common problem someone can help with...

OOOH MY GOD this is the first time this has ever being brought up in any forum and I didn't want to be the first one since I work for kia and never had anyone but my dad complaint about it. But please if you find out what it is let me know I can't figure this out it's driving my dad crazy... I only noticed this on one other sorento at my job but the owner wasnt complaining.

I found the problem. I feel stupid for not finding it before. After like 8 months trying new parts and shit (which included the actual problem exept that the new ones rattled too) I found the problem. Is the tail gate lift supports

I finally took the truck into the Kia dealership and they found what was causing the rattle after riding in the back. They determined that the hatch lock was loose so they adjusted it and then lubbed all of the hatch weather strips. The sound is completely gone! My first good experience with Kia...
