Windshield scratches...

So my 16 yr old brother used my car over the winter, and decided it was a good idea to scrape ice off the windshield with a COFFEE MUG...Well, now that it's summer I have a bunch of scratches on my windshield and rear window. How can I get rid of them?

Unfortunatly I Don't Think There Is A Quick Fix If It's Really Bad You May Just Have To Replace Them.

usually glass is covered under insurance. and it won't raise your insurance to make a glass claim soooo just get your window to crack and say a rock hit it on the highway or something and get it replaced through insurance. Not exactly sure how you could lie about front and back however so maybe you could get the front fixed at least.
PS: make sure you have glass coverage before you shatter your window!!!

That's insurance fraud & people wonder why good insurance costs so damn much.
If you can feel the scratches with your finger nail then they are NON-REPAIRABLE. If they can't be felt glass polish will get them out.

well the way I look at it I pay for my glass coverage and if my winshield is damaged, whether it be from a stone on the highway or from an idiot brother it should be able to get fixed. Now I only suggested sayign the story because I didn't think insurance would go for it otherwise. It all depends on how your policy is written up. Hell you sink so much money into insurance you might as well use it once in a while right?
and if you are a safe, responsible, experienced driver insurance shouldn't cost much at all. If it does you should shop around.
